The paintings for the book have illustrated by Gayle Kabaker who is an award-winning artist, writer and visual storyteller living in Ashfield, Massachusetts. She was been on the cover of multiple magazines in New York, beginning in 2012 with “June Brides, celebrating the legalization of marriage equality.

We were able to understand the importance and the impact of women in the decision making process. Global crises demonstrated to us that the solutions we are seeking already exist, so often being suggested and put in place by women leaders like those featured in this book. This year we also commemorate the 25-year anniversary of the historic United Nations Fourth World Conference on Women, which sparked a new wave of activism in pursuit of gender equality.
